Biomethane is renewable gas that can be produced from biowaste and energy crops. It is almost CO2-neutral, stabilizes natural cycles and generates added value and jobs in rural areas. Biomethane can be used to produce regenerative electricity, heat, as well as for fuel or ecogas in private households. Technically, there is no difference between biomethane and natural gas.
In Germany, there are now almost 200 plants feeding biomethane into the natural gas grid, accounting for about 1 percent of Germany’s overall gas requirement.
We provide you with the required biomethane qualities and quantities. Whether it is a gas blend, a biofuel for your natural gas station or a certificate – with us you will get the right product for your customers!
We are happy to advise you on the application possibilities of various types of biomethane, as well as the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG), renewable federal and state heat legislation and biofuel quota regulations.
Combined heat and power plants, and flexible gas plants, are cornerstones of the energy transition. In Germany, the Renewable Energy Sources Act enables economically competitive renewable CHP applications to run on biomethane. Existing CHP plants can still be refitted to run on biomethane even though conditions in the Renewable Energy Sources Act of 2014 turned out less advantageous than former versions – protecting existing plants is a basic principle of this Act. For new CHPplants the lately reformed Renewable Energy Sources Act of 2017 provides attractive conditions, as well.
Offer your clients a climate-friendly and highly efficient alternative to fossil fuels – at the same price! All natural gas vehicles also run on biomethane; no technical modifications are necessary. Biomethane used as fuel is produced exclusively from waste, residues and manure; no energy crops are used. Biomethane as fuel can claim tax exemptions and is supported in the biofuels quota regulations.
Generating biomethane enables you to optimize the energy potential, and thus commercial potential, of your biogas plant. Whether you want to construct a new plant, optimize an existing plant or just need a little advice on how to market the gas: We support your project every step of the way.
We gladly analyze your site and advise you on biogas upgrade possibilities and grid feed-in.
